The say "what you see is what you get" is very true when it comes to perception of a house for the new, inexperienced buyers. Very often, we simply can't see beyond the potential of the property when we step in for that first viewing. Obviously there are many properties where the potential is limited but in case of those where the possibilities of turning the house into a real home are real, those possibilities are hidden for the untrained eye. Many of our clients, the ones who eventually purchased their homes, gave us the feedback that the most important thing for them was the first impression of the house. Neglected, tired, dated - these are the adjectives we hear a lot when taking on the projects and these were somebody else's homes.. It's a fact that people walk away from perfectly OK house not always because they don't tick all the boxes but because they just don't feel right. This is why staging your house before putting it on the market matters so much. You simply increase the chances of selling it and also increasing the value if the staging is done in a smart, cost effective way.
